Please read all instructions before registering your parade unit. We are North Carolina’s Largest and Longest-Running Veterans Day Parade and with well over 100 parade units registered to participate, staging (line-up before parade start) requires accurate information so that the parade runs smoothly and there is room for all entries. Currently, there is no entry fee for this parade.

PLEASE MAKE SURE that after filling out the form, that you click the SUBMIT button at the bottom of the form. Google has experienced some issues with their online forms and some entries are not getting recorded. If you look at the CURRENT PARADE ENTRIES spreadsheet below and registered before the time listed, but do not see your entry in the Current Parade Entries spreadsheet, your entry was not recorded. Read below to correct this.

The Parade Lineup will be published October 27th. PLEASE Check the Lineup Lists As Soon As Possible once published, for your entry - if it is NOT present, you must call Bob Kirk at (252) 725-4516 to be included in the parade. Bob will take your signup information by phone and complete the entry for you.

Directions for completing parade entry form:

1.     Name of Group. Ensure the name you use for your organization is the correct name (e.g., if the official name is NC Cool Cars Club, do not write in Cool Cars Club of NC). This will assist parade officials looking for you group name on an alphabetical list when assisting at the parade staging area.

2.     Designator of Group. Include chapter, post, squadron, pack, or troop, etc. as appropriate.

3.     City/Town of your Group. Without this some groups may be confused (e.g., Knights of Columbus).

4.     Description of entry. When providing a description of vehicles, provide length, height, and width for anything other than a standard sedan/pickup truck/van. Staging space is congested, and many streets have overhead obstacles. By providing as many details as possible on space required for your entry, parade officials can ensure adequate space for your group and vehicles.

Be descriptive as possible (e.g., pickup truck with 15’ float, 5 people on float, 10 walkers)

If unsure of total number of participants or vehicles in group, provide the maximum number you expect to participate. If you state 1 car, you cannot decide later to place 2 cars in the parade.  There will not be space for the second car in the staging area.

If you have veterans riding/walking with your group and would like to recognize them, provide a short introduction in the announcer notes section.

If you have a singer or music as part of your float, please check the box so indicating. We want to place distance between you and others that have music so that you will not interfere with each other.

For large animals (harnessed or ridden), the parade staging coordinator will call you (please ensure POC information is correct) to work out the best staging area based upon the size/number of animals. We want to keep the animals and people in the staging area safe.
