On this page you will find the Staging Area Map, Your Entry’s Position Number AND staging area, AND Entry Instructions for the Staging Area,

The staging area for this year’s parade includes 18th street through 14th street south of Arendell Street, and Evans St,, Shepard St. and Shackleford St. from 18th st. through 14th St., inclusive. The staging area also includes the Morehead City Drug parking lot, and the Arendell St. median between 19th and 17th Streets (Railroad right-of-way). The Arendell St. Median will be available for entries that are too large for side streets (either too long or too tall or both).

To Find Your Staging Location -

Lookup your entry in the table below. Your position number indicates three things - (a) it indicates the staging position within the street block and side, where you will find a small YELLOW flag in the grass next to your staging position, (b) it indicates HOW you enter the staging area, and (c) it indicates your order of appearance in the parade.

Entering the Staging Area:

Parade Marshals will be present in the Staging Area.

IF your Position Number is 61 or 78:

From Arendell St. heading EAST, drive to 18th Street and Turn Right.

Position 61, turn left on Evans Street. Identify your organization name and position number to the Parade Marshall and they will let you in.

Pull all the way forward on Evans to 17th St. on the LEFT side of the street. When the left side of the street is full, begin parking on the Right side of the block, where the left side began.

Position 78, turn left on Shepard Street.

Pull all the way forward on Shepard to 17th St. on the LEFT side of the street. When the left side of the street is full, begin parking on the Right side of the block, where the left side began.

IF your Position Number is 58, 59, 60, or 62:

From Arendell St. heading EAST, proceed to 16th Street and Turn Right. Identify your organization name and position number to the Parade Marshall and they will let you in. Position 58 is on the Right side of the street (you have the whole block on the Right side). Look for your flag with the number on it. The others are in order, 59 at the end of the block, followed by 60 and 62.

IF your Position Number is 80, 81, 82, 83, or 84:

From Arendell St. heading EAST, proceed to 15th Street and turn Right. Identify your organization name and position number to the Parade Marshall and they will let you in. Find your position number on the yellow flag and park.

For ALL of the other Position Numbers:

From Arendell St. heading EAST, proceed to 15th Street and turn Right. Identify your organization name and position number to the Parade Marshall and they will let you in. Turn Left on Evans or on Shepard depending on which you are staged and proceed to the block you are assigned and find your flag.
